Brian Daugherty is an experienced fundraiser, speaker and leader with more than 25 years of experience in leading philanthropy teams to achieve extraordinary results. He is inspired to help make the world a better place through philanthropy and in sharing stories that connect people to the causes they care about.
His experience includes work for a variety of organizations ranging from the Baltimore Symphony and the Baltimore Zoo to the University of California, San Diego and University of San Diego. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy & Communications Officer at San Diego Humane Society where his passion for animals and philanthropy has been combined.
He gives back to ensure that nonprofit organizations around the country can optimize their philanthropy and communications efforts, and is a sought-after speaker on topics of leadership, communications and philanthropy.
Brian holds a bachelor’s in finance from the University of South Florida and a master’s in nonprofit management and leadership from the University of San Diego. When not working, he enjoys taking in live music, spending time with his family and four dogs, and working to make the perfect pancake.
